Dr. Foluke Fayemi

Dr. Foluke Fayemi – Lecturer in Business and Organizational Studies Dr. Foluke Fayemi brings over 37 years of extensive professional experience in Business and Organizational development, with a strong foundation in both academic and practical applications. Her career spans multiple disciplines, including health informatics, entrepreneurship, education, marketing, academic and career advising, business development, and administration.

Dr. Fayemi’s diverse background enables her to bring real-world insights into the classroom, making her a dynamic and impactful educator. She has held various roles in both government and private sectors, including serving as a system trainer with the United States Department of Defense, product manager, startup consultant, senior academic advisor, UX designer, and medical claim auditor for United Healthcare Group. These roles have equipped her with in-depth knowledge of Healthcare Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Systems, as well as strategic approaches to business growth and sustainability. Dr. Fayemi holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), a Master of Management International, and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with a specialization in Graphic Design. She also holds a certificate in Visual Communication and is a certified EPIC and credentialed Cerner EMR Systems trainer.

Her academic contributions include published research in the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Business Development, where her work explored the strategic management experiences of executives and owner-managers in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Her research introduced the concept of Resource-Based Entrepreneurship as a tool for achieving sustainable competitive advantage and highlighted key strategies for driving business development, innovation, and sustainability. Dr. Fayemi is committed to fostering leadership through knowledge-based business practices and continuous improvement. She is an active member of the International Honor Society in Business, Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, and The National Society of Leadership and Success.
